Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Getaway & Stay's website and booking services. By making a reservation, you agree to these terms. If something isn't clear, call us at (414) 387-3036.

Booking and payment

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of your deposit or full payment as required at checkout. You'll receive a confirmation email with booking details, check-in instructions, and a copy of these terms.

Payment is processed by Authorize.net through our OwnerRez reservation system. Getaway & Stay is the merchant of record. We accept major credit cards. We do not accept cash, checks, or cryptocurrency.

A damage deposit may be required for some properties. If required, it will be disclosed at booking and charged to the card on file. Unused portions are refunded within 7 business days of checkout.

Check-in and checkout

Standard check-in time is 4:00 PM. Standard checkout is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late checkout are available on request, subject to same-day turnover scheduling. We'll do our best to accommodate.

Check-in instructions, door codes, and parking information will be sent to your email 48–72 hours before arrival. If you have not received these by the day before check-in, contact us immediately at (414) 387-3036.

House rules

No smoking inside any property. Outdoor smoking is permitted in designated areas only.

No pets unless explicitly listed as pet-friendly in the property listing.

Maximum occupancy applies. Exceeding the listed maximum occupancy without written approval may result in immediate termination of the reservation without refund.

No events, parties, or gatherings beyond the listed occupancy.

Quiet hours between 10pm and 8am in all markets.

Guests are responsible for the property and its contents during their stay. Any damage, missing items, or cleaning beyond normal wear and tear will be charged to the credit card on file.

Damage and liability

Guests accept responsibility for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay, beyond normal wear and tear. This includes damage caused by guests, visitors, or pets.

Getaway & Stay is not liable for injuries occurring on the property during the guest's stay. Guests assume all risks associated with use of property amenities including but not limited to hot tubs, pools, decks, fire pits, and recreational equipment.

Getaway & Stay carries property insurance. Guests are encouraged to carry their own travel insurance.

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellation policies vary by property. The cancellation policy that applies to your booking is displayed on the property listing page before you confirm your reservation.

Accuracy of listing information

We make every effort to ensure listing information is accurate and current. Occasionally, amenities may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance. In such cases, we will notify you before your arrival and, where material, offer alternative accommodation or a partial refund.

Force majeure

In the event of a force majeure, natural disasters, government-mandated evacuations, severe weather events making travel impossible, we will offer a full refund or rebooking at no cost. This applies regardless of the cancellation policy in effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. Any disputes arising under these terms will be resolved in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.
