Privacy Policy

Short version: we collect what we need to provide the services you're asking for. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as necessary to process your booking, communicate with you, and maintain our operations.

What we collect

When you make a booking, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and payment information. Payment information is processed entirely by Authorize.net through our OwnerRez reservation system, and we do not store or access your card number.

When you visit our website, we collect standard web analytics: pages visited, time on page, general location (city/region level), and referring source. We use this to understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not collect precise location data.

If you contact us via email, phone, or contact form, we retain those communications in our customer service records.

How we use it

To complete your booking and send you confirmation, check-in instructions, and stay-related communications.

To respond to inquiries and provide customer support.

To send you optional marketing communications if you've opted in (unsubscribe anytime).

To improve our website and booking experience based on aggregate usage patterns.

Who we share it with

OwnerRez, our reservation management system, which also handles payment processing via Authorize.net. Subject to their privacy policy.

Email and SMS delivery providers, for transactional and marketing communications.

Analytics providers, aggregate, anonymized data only.

We do not sell your personal information to data brokers, advertisers, or any third party.

Property devices

Some properties use exterior Ring cameras positioned at entrances and driveways. We do not use interior video cameras. Some properties use noise awareness devices (such as Minut) that monitor decibel levels only, and they do not record conversations. Smart locks log access events (a code used with a timestamp) to help with guest support and security.

SMS communications

If you opt into SMS, you may receive booking updates and occasional marketing messages from Getaway and Stay. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at info@getawayandstay.com. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

How long we keep it

We retain booking records for seven years for tax and legal compliance purposes. General contact records are retained for three years after your last interaction. You may request deletion of your records at any time, subject to legal retention requirements, by emailing info@getawayandstay.com.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies for essential functionality (session management), analytics (aggregate usage data), and optional marketing (if you've opted into email communications). You can control cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect booking functionality.

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our site, including session recordings and heatmap data. You can decline this tracking using the cookie consent banner when you first visit.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information. You may also opt out of marketing communications at any time. California residents and all other U.S. residents may also request that we not sell or share their personal information. We don't, but you can confirm that in writing by emailing info@getawayandstay.com. To exercise any of these rights, email info@getawayandstay.com with your request.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including SSL encryption for all data in transit. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant third-party processors. We do not store payment card data on our systems.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify current guests of material changes via email. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
