Accessibility Statement

Getaway & Stay is committed to ensuring that our website and booking experience are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA.

Our commitment

We believe that every guest should be able to find, book, and manage their stay without barriers. This means building with semantic HTML, sufficient color contrast, keyboard navigability, and screen-reader compatibility throughout our platform.

Our team reviews accessibility as part of every feature we ship. We use automated testing tools and conduct manual audits on a quarterly basis.

Known gaps

We are actively working to improve the following areas:

  • Date picker inputs on the search bar and booking widget rely on native browser date controls, which vary in accessibility across screen readers. We are evaluating a custom accessible alternative.
  • Some photo gallery interactions are currently not fully operable by keyboard alone. A fix is in progress.
  • Older blog post images may lack descriptive alt text. We are auditing and updating these retroactively.

Standards and guidelines

Our target standard is WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We follow best practices from the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) and test with VoiceOver, NVDA, and keyboard-only navigation as part of our QA process.
